3. The Life and Times
of one of Australia’s greatest authors Henry Handel Richardson, who as a young girl, Ethel Florence Lindesay Richardson, lived with her family for a few years in Queenscliff. She later wrote the great Australian novel ‘The Fortunes of Richard Mahony’, based largely on the life of her father Dr. Walter Richardson. This draws loosely on various Queenscliff town characters of her childhood during her father’s appointment as port Health Officer and GP in the town. Join us at their very home at 26 Mercer Street 1.30pm Sundays 16 & 23 October for a re-telling of the times and Ethel’s experiences, with local actors. .............  Please BYO chair.
