Notice of Closure
Owing to the Federal and State Government directive to limit close personal contact with others due to the threat of cross-infection of the coronavirus, the committee of management wishes to advise that the Queenscliffe Historical Museum is now officially closed to the public.
It is now expected that the museum will not reopen until the new $5.75m ‘redevelopment’ of the precinct, the so-called ‘Hub’, has been completed in early 2022. |
Key functions of the museum, including administration, research and archive conservation will continue to be attended to by a skeleton staff of volunteers.
The museum’s popular Monthly Talks are similarly suspended but may be able to resume earlier if the coronavirus ‘all clear’ is given.
By order…. John Barry, Hon. Secretary QHM, March 24 2020
